Subscribe to group notifications

If you would like to receive a notification when a new POST or EVENT is added for your group, click on My Account in the menu block, then Notifications at the top of your profile page.  From there, click on Group and add subscriptions for each group you are a member of.

Group admins (the person who created the group and anyone to whom the admins grants additional admin permissions) have an extra menu option called Broadcast when viewing their group(s).  This allows admins to send an e-mail message to all group members.  I had been looking into options to extend that functionality to all members without the need to make everyone group admins, but that would require custom code and there is already a module in development which may meed that need.

Subscriptions and notifications seem to be a good middle ground until the new module is released, and probably should have been enabled by default when the site was first created.  Well, live and learn.  Please consider subscribing to your group(s) so that you can be updated when someone on your team adds new content to the group.
