Polls

Is it possible to have a poll for just one group, if not, could that be added.

Thank You!

Another Poll Problem

Daryl The Beast's picture

I accidentally clicked edit on a poll. When I clicked save, it took away the two votes, and it won't let me re-vote. What can I do to fix this problem.

Nevermind

We found out that we needed to open the poll, but our votes are still gone. If we cancel our votes to revote, then it will subtract 1 from nothing. Something is seriusly messed up. (I should watch where I click)

Update to Polls

Polls are now "Organic Group" enabled -- you can leave a poll public (the default) or assign it to a group that you are a member of.  Polls will no longer be on the front page by default.  You can access polls from the Polls link in the main menu and I'll look into adding a block to the main page listing open polls.

three things things - One why

three things things -

One why do I have to hit preview once before being able to hit save? I'm pretty sure I know what I want to post

Two the <img> tags don't seem to be working for me - I tried <img>URL</img> and <img URL /> Ended up just using the picture button, lol, I'd suggest switching to BB Code

Three why do I have to use the captcha for every single post, I can understand using it for topics, group posts, events, etc. but for every single comment is just overly annoying and ridiculous.

Answers to Three Things

Rob_X:

  1. I think I found all the settings forcing preview instead of save on comments and a few of the other main content types.  You're right -- there's no reason the site should be second guessing you!
  2. I thing you mean you're trying to link to an image?  It might be the rich text edit eating the HTML.  Input on the site is filtered and the only tags it allows are <a> <em> <strong> <cite> <code> <ul> <ol> <li> <dl> <dt> <dd> <img> <p>.  However, in layout mode, the editor probably takes the code to insert an image ( <img src="http://www.circayou.com/images/bullet.png"> ) and strips it out.  Clicking the Insert/Edit Image button -- top row, 6th from the right, looks like a picture of mountains and the sun -- gives you the option to enter the URL into a pop-up window.  That same URL in the Insert/Edit Image box gives us this:
an arrow!.  Another option would be to click the Source button (top left) and add your own HTML.  I could probably loosen up the HTML restriction a little bit...
  3. I took the Captcha off of everything except the Contact Form and User Registration.  Everything else requires you to be logged in to post so SPAM shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Thanks for the feedback!
