Hello FIRST LEGO League West Florida Coaches,
I hope that you are recovering from the terrifying Hurricane Irma. Our prayers are with those of you dealing with property damage and loss of power. Please let me know if there is anything that we can do to assist you.
On Saturday, September 16th, we are still poised to host the LEGO Engineering Workshop at HCC Brandon from 9am - 4pm.
There will be 2 separate sessions.
Session 1 - 9am - 12noon Building a Robot Chassis
Session 2 - 1pm - 4pm Building a Forklift Attachment
12noon - 1pm -Lunch on your own.
Your team is welcome to attend 1 or both sessions. There should be 1 coach and 2 team members at the session. You can swap out team members and have 2 team members at 1 session and 2 team members at the 2nd session. It's up to you.
This is a free event. Thanks to Senior Mentor Dr. Andy Milluzzi for facilitating. Thanks to Suncoast Credit Union and Hillsborough Community College for sponsoring our event.
The location is the Conference Center in the Administration Building at HCC Brandon 10414 East Columbus Drive Tampa FL.
Teams should bring Robot Kits, Computers, and EV3 Software.
For the 2nd session teams should bring a fully built robot. Teams will learn how to build a forklift attachment.
Good luck with your cleanup. Many of you won't start school for a couple of weeks. We will do what we can to provide training and mentorship for your teams.
