Attached to this email and listed below are some specific resources for the HydroDynamic Project. Hopefully your teams can use these while they are learning about the Human Water Cycle and coming up with solutions to some of the toughest problems in the world.
Thanks to all of you who participated in the Digital Kickoff and the Robot Design Workshops. We've had amazing participation. Also thanks to all of the teams that have been doing community service to help Floridians who have been impacted by Hurricane Irma.
1. Please remember for to sign up for the following Events:
Tune It Up Tampa 9/30, Fire It Up Ft Myers 10/14, Pump It Up Pinellas 10/21. Details are on our website: www.suncoastfll.org/events.html. These are great orientations to what FIRST LEGO League is all about and what your team needs to know to be prepared for tournaments.
2. STIMS is not up yet. You will receive an email from FIRST when the Student Team Information Management System is up and you can register your teams through your FIRSTInspires.org login.
3. Registration for PreQualifiers and Qualifiers will begin in mid October. This will give as many teams a chance to form as possible before we start registering for tournaments. Tournament registration details will be emailed to you and posted on www.suncoastfll.org
4. If you know of anyone that would like to form a FIRST LEGO League team, it is not too late. I do have grant money from Suncoast Credit Union for school based teams in Title 1 schools in our region that have never had a team before.
Thanks all! See you at Tune It Tampa, Fire It Up Ft Myers, and Pump it Up Pinellas.

Florida Department of Environmental Protection – The FDEP is a state agency headquartered in
Tallahassee with six district offices located throughout the state of Florida. Among other responsibilities, the FDEP regulates water and wastewater treatment plans.
Florida’s Water Management Districts – Florida is divided into five Water Management Districts. The districts administer flood protection programs and perform technical investigations into water resources. They also develop water management plans for water shortages in times of drought, and acquire and manage lands for water management purposes. Delegated regulatory programs include management of the consumptive use of water, aquifer recharge, well construction and surface water management. http://www.dep.state.fl.us/secretary/watman/ . The Suncoast Region is located partially within the boundaries of the Southwest Florida Water Management District and partially within the South Florida Water Management District.
